On April 25, over 130 guests gathered at Speducci Mercatto for Bella Notte – Mind Forward’s first-ever fundraising gala in support of individuals living with acquired brain injury (ABI). Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over $43,000 to support programs and services for our clients.
Guests walked the red carpet, sipped on signature cocktails, bid on dozens of silent auction items, posed at our glam photo booth, and danced the night away thanks to the great music from DJ Ray.
But the most unforgettable part of the night came when Susan, a Mind Forward board member and mother of a brain injury survivor, took the mic.
Her speech brought the room to a standstill. With honesty and grace, she shared what it means to watch your child navigate life after a brain injury – what it feels like to lose the future you imagined, and to find new strength in unexpected places.

Supporting life-changing organizations like Mind Forward, that are bringing awareness and providing programs and support that are improving the lives of so many impacted by brain injury, is instrumental to caregivers, family members, health care professionals and agencies, and the broader communities.”
