Hunter Saggar
Chief Executive Officer
Hunter brings over 35 years of provincial government experience to Mind Forward, including influential roles across the Ministries of Community and Social Services, Health, Government Services, and Treasury Board. As former Chief Administrative Officer for Ontario Place Corporation (2012-2021), his leadership was defined by strategic vision and impactful governance. His previous service on Mind Forward’s Board of Directors provides unique insights into the organization’s mission, while his active involvement on several community Boards demonstrates his commitment to creating supportive environments. Hunter’s extensive public sector experience positions him to advance brain injury awareness and support in our community.

Mike Redgers, M.S. Ed.
Chief Administrative Officer
Mike provides strategic leadership across operations, planning, and system integration at Mind Forward. With more than a decade of experience in acquired brain injury and mental health sectors, he brings a strong commitment to person-centered, community-based care. Mike oversees organizational development, quality improvement, and stakeholder engagement, using data-driven insights and cross-sector collaboration to drive innovation. Known for his thoughtful and collaborative approach, Mike plays a key role in advancing Mind Forward’s mission and enhancing outcomes for individuals and families impacted by brain injury.

Andrea Ure
Chief Marketing Officer
Andrea leads Mind Forward’s marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts—bringing clarity, consistency, and heart to how the organization connects with the community. She oversees everything from brand development and digital media to grant writing, sponsorships, and donor engagement. Andrea is passionate about creating strategies that reflect the voices of clients and the impact of the work being done every day. With nearly two decades of experience in the acquired brain injury sector, she combines creativity and insight to help Mind Forward grow its reach and deepen its community impact.

Fabio DoCouto
Chief Program Officer
Fabio oversees the development and implementation of all programs, leveraging over twenty years of experience in the ABI sector and as a leader across various organizational service streams. His background as Senior Manager of Human Resources, where he championed inclusivity and led key initiatives such as accreditations and collective agreements, strengthens his approach to delivering high-quality services. Fabio’s extensive organizational knowledge and active involvement in the EDI committee ensures Mind Forward’s programs continue to make a meaningful impact on the individuals we support.

Dr. Chanth Seyone
Head of Clinical Services
As Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Seyone brings exceptional expertise in Acquired Brain Injury and Neuropsychiatry, along with a proven track record for improving patient outcomes. He is recognized for his in-depth understanding of how brain injuries impact mood, behaviour, and cognition, and for developing tailored treatment plans that address these challenges holistically. Through his clinical innovations and compassionate care, Dr. Seyone continues to provide hope and improved quality of life for individuals and families affected by brain injuries, embodying Mind Forward’s mission to rebuild lives one memory at a time.

Erik Petersen, MA Counselling Psychology
Behavioural and Vocational Counsellor
Erik is Mind Forward’s Behavioural and Vocational Counsellor and comes with 25 years of experience within the field of psychology. He began his career providing direct service to teenagers experiencing behavioural and emotional difficulties and since has worked in various roles with children, adults and the geriatric population across a spectrum of diagnoses, including autism, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and mental health. Erik is passionate about teaching and training others as well using evidence-based practices to help solve complex behavioural issues while teaching functional skills.

Tanya Singh BASc, MBA
Senior Manager of Quality and Clinical Services
Tanya oversees all of Mind Forward’s Quality and Clinical services with extensive experience across diverse sectors. She has a proven track record of delivering services to vulnerable populations, including children with autism, adults with dementia, individuals with learning disabilities, and adults with ABI. Tanya excels in designing and implementing client-specific assessments and programs, high-risk assessments, quality assurance, and service delivery optimization. By combining her clinical experience with strategic business insight, she develops innovative, evidence-based solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve client outcomes.

Jennifer Thurner
Senior Manager, Special Projects
With over 25 years of experience in behavioral science, education, and recreation, Jennifer brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to her role as Senior Manager of Special Projects at Mind Forward. She leads complex initiatives that strengthen operations, improve client experiences, and support the agency’s long-term goals. Jennifer is known for connecting the big picture with everyday impact—balancing strategic planning with a deep understanding of the individuals we serve. Her ability to bring teams together and move projects forward makes her an essential part of Mind Forward’s growth and innovation.

Barb has been part of the Mind Forward team for over 20 years, playing an important role in building the supportive workplace culture that underpins our care. She leads recruitment, onboarding, training, and compliance, and ensures HR practices reflect both sector standards and the values we live by. Barb is a trusted presence across the organization—approachable, fair, and always willing to listen. Her thoughtful, behind-the-scenes leadership helps staff feel supported and equipped, creating the foundation for high-quality care and a positive environment for both clients and colleagues.

Antonio Amoroso
Senior Manager, Programs
Antonio has been a steady presence at Mind Forward for over two decades. Starting on the front lines as a Client Program Facilitator, then moving into roles as Team Leader and Case Manager, he’s worn many hats and brings deep insight into every layer of the organization. With a background in Psychology and a passion for strong systems, Antonio now oversees a wide range of programs and leads agency-wide scheduling. He’s known for his quiet dependability, practical leadership, and genuine commitment to creating environments where both clients and staff can thrive.

Ashley Budd
Senior Manager, Clinical and Outreach Services; ABI System Navigator
Ashley has spent the past 20 years walking alongside individuals with brain injuries and their families, helping them navigate care with compassion and clarity. She leads Mind Forward’s Clinical and Outreach Services and also serves as our ABI System Navigator for Mississauga Halton and Central West, as well as the organization’s Ombudsperson and Privacy Officer. Known for her calm presence and deep knowledge of the system, Ashley is often the first call when things get complex. She’s passionate about creating smoother pathways to care, strengthening community partnerships, and making sure every client feels seen and supported.

Jessie Dhaliwal, BHS
Senior Manager, TRSL & Conover
Jessie brings over a decade of experience supporting individuals with brain injuries, mental health challenges, addictions, and experiences of homelessness. She began her journey at Mind Forward as a Psychosocial Group Leader, later stepping into Case Management before taking on her current leadership role. Jessie’s approach is rooted in empathy, creativity, and connection—she believes in meeting clients where they’re at and building programs that nurture resilience and dignity. At TRSL and Conover, she leads with a strong clinical foundation and a deep commitment to fostering a sense of belonging for both clients and staff.

Kannan Ganapathy
Senior Manager, Day Services
Kannan has supported individuals with ABI since 1996, beginning his career with Brain Injury Community Re-Entry (BICR) in Niagara. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Sciences and a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy. Before joining Mind Forward in 2017, Kannan worked in a neuro-rehabilitation hospital in Texas, treating a range of neurological conditions. At Mind Forward, he leads Day Programs across Mississauga, Halton, and Central West, with a focus on providing a welcome space where clients can participate in recreational and rehabilitation groups that build independence and support social connections.

Phil Gow
Senior Manager, Britannia and Windsor Hill
Phil brings over 15 years of leadership experience to Mind Forward, where he oversees residential services at Britannia and Windsor Hill. With a background in Psychology and a passion for team development, Phil blends structure with creativity to ensure clients experience meaningful, day-to-day life in a safe, supportive environment. He’s known for rolling up his sleeves, staying connected to both staff and clients, and always looking for ways to make each day more engaging and fulfilling. Phil’s entrepreneurial background brings fresh perspective to problem-solving and a steady focus on quality of life.

Dorothy Heidbuurt, RP MACP
Senior Manager, Psychosocial Services
Dorothy is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with brain injuries and their caregivers. Her work is rooted in compassion, education, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity to grow. At Mind Forward, Dorothy provides individual and group psychotherapy, leads workshops, and advocates for supports that honour the unique needs of every client and family. She draws on a wide range of modalities—including CBT, ACT, MI, SFT, Mindfulness, and EMDR—to create meaningful, person-centered care. Dorothy is most passionate about helping others move forward with strength, clarity, and hope.

Mariana Ljuljdjuraj
Senior Manager, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Seniors Services
Mariana brings over a decade of experience in the ABI sector to her role leading Mind Forward’s Supported Independent Living and Seniors Programs. With a background in social work and a deep commitment to community-based care, she’s known for her supportive leadership, strong mentorship, and ability to inspire those around her. Mariana has held a range of roles across the non-profit sector, always guided by a belief in inclusion, advocacy, and creativity. Her passion for building meaningful connections helps create spaces where both clients and staff feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Angela Maiato
Coordinator, West
Angela has been with Mind Forward for over 15 years, supporting various areas including Human Resources, scheduling, and Clinical Services. In her current role as Coordinator at the West residence in Oakville, she works closely with the site’s managers to support daily operations and administrative tasks. Angela is known for her reliability and strong organizational support across the team.

Hayley Walters
Senior Manager, West
Hayley leads Mind Forward’s West Assisted Living Program in Oakville, bringing over a decade of experience in social and community services. She began her journey with the organization as a placement student and has since held roles in case management and clinical coordination. Hayley oversees daily operations, client care planning, and program delivery, with a focus on neurorehabilitation and quality of life. Known for her compassionate leadership, she works closely with staff, families, and clinicians to ensure care is responsive, personalized, and supportive.
