Day Program

Mind Forward offers Adult Day Programs funded by the Mississauga Halton and Central West LHINs in three locations: Mississauga, Orangeville and Oakville.  Programs operate Monday to Friday and special events are held occasionally on weekends.  Operating hours vary so be sure to view the calendar of each location for more information.

Our Day Program provides a fun and enriching environment in which to increase socialization and engagement resulting in an improved quality of life.  It also provides access to functional skill building activities that promote the re-learning and acquisition of skills that may have been affected by the individual’s brain injury.  In addition, our day program offers daily respite for both individuals and their families to reduce caregiver burnout.

We offer a variety of recreational and skill-building groups tailored to everyone’s abilities ranging from Woodworking and Artistic Creations, to Jumpstart and Cook N’ Carry Out.  Groups are facilitated by highly skilled, trained and motivated staff.  We also provide daily drop-in times.

Psychosocial and adjustment groups are offered by referral only and include Anger Management, Depression Support, Self Esteem Support, ABI Education, Communication, Social Skills, Peer Support and Substance Use and Brain Injury (SUBI).  Please speak to one of our team members if you are interested.

Program sessions run approximately 3-6 months depending on location.
