We are proud to announce that Mind Forward has been awarded a Rogers Youth Grant to support our VISTA (Vocational, Independence, Skills Training, and Advancement) program for young adults with acquired brain injury.
The VISTA Program provides young adults living with acquired brain injury (ABI) with personalized counselling, mentorship, hands-on skill-building workshops, and structured community placements. With the generous support of Rogers, VISTA will help these individuals overcome barriers to education and employment.
“This grant will allow us to expand opportunities for youth with ABI who are often furthest from traditional pathways to education and job opportunities,” said Andrea Ure, Chief Development Officer at Mind Forward.
Rogers Youth Grants provide funding to Canadian charities and non-profits that deliver programs for youth ages 12-29, with a focus on mentorship, career readiness, and workforce development. Mind Forward’s VISTA program was selected for its innovative approach to integrating vocational rehabilitation with community inclusion.
We’re grateful to Rogers for recognizing the importance of creating inclusive opportunities for youth with brain injury. Their support makes it possible for us to continue building a future where young people are seen, supported, and valued.
