We are happy to announce a $5,000 grant from the Bourassa Savaria Foundation to enhance our assistive mobility device program. This funding will strengthen our Empowering Mobility project, which provides essential mobility support for individuals with acquired brain injuries who face financial barriers accessing crucial mobility equipment.
The Bourassa-Savaria Foundation, a leader in supporting mobility access initiatives since 2014, shares our vision of enhancing independence for individuals with physical challenges. Their commitment to mobility support aligns perfectly with Mind Forward’s mission of providing comprehensive acquired brain injury support services across Ontario.
Expanding Access to Assistive Mobility Devices
Through this grant, our Empowering Mobility project will:
- Provide new assistive mobility devices for clients with acquired brain injuries
- Fund essential repairs and modifications to existing mobility equipment
- Ensure proper customization of devices to meet individual mobility needs
- Support clients who may not qualify for other assistance programs
