We are proud to share the success of a ground-breaking initiative made possible through a $90,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF)’s Resilient Communities Fund.
This funding allowed us to welcome Registered Dietician Anisha Gupta from Hello Nutrition to lead the development and implementation of a nutrition program specifically tailored to the needs of individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI).
Thanks to this support, Mind Forward expanded its clinical services to included individualized nutrition plans, monthly workshops, and weekly cooking groups that helped clients learn how to prepare simple, budget-friendly meals that promote brain health. The program not only strengthened physical and cognitive recovery, but also supported independence, reduced food insecurity, and improved quality of life for our clients.
“Welcoming Anisha to our team has been a turning point”, said Andrea Ure, Chief Marketing Officer at Mind Forward. “Her expertise, compassion, and innovative approach have helped us embed nutrition into every layer of our care model – something we’ve long needed but couldn’t achieve without this funding.”
Mind Forward extends its sincere thanks to OTF for investing in holistic rehabilitation and making this vision a reality. The impact of this project will continue to shape the future of ABI care across our communities.
