Mind Forward has been awarded one-time funding through Ontario Health as part of the Ministry of Health’s investment in expanding Adult Day Programs and Respite Services across the province.
This funding is part of a larger provincial initiative to strengthen community-based supports, improve access to care, and provide meaningful relief for caregivers supporting individuals with complex needs.
Mind Forward is using these funds to enhance our Day Program – bringing renewed energy to therapeutic and recreational programming for individuals with acquired brain injury. The funding also supports respite-focused initiatives, giving caregivers the time and space to rest and recharge.
Through this investment, we’ve been able to:
- Welcome new clients into services
- Launch specialized, time-limited programs tailored to client needs and interests, including expanded evening and weekend hours
- Upgrade program supplies to improve the overall participant experience
- Pilot new and innovative program ideas
- Enhance our physical spaces to make them more welcoming and accessible
Everything we do is grounded in one goal: to provide the highest quality care and experience for the people we serve. We’re grateful to Ontario Health for recognizing the importance of these services and for investing in programs that support the ABI community.
