This week marked an exciting milestone as we hosted the inaugural meeting of the Peel ABI Care Pathway.
Representatives from across the region gathered to begin shaping a coordinated, inclusive approach to ABI care.
This initiative is more than just a meeting—it’s the start of a transformational journey for individuals living with ABI, their families, and the healthcare providers supporting them. The Pathway aims to create a streamlined continuum of care that bridges service gaps, enhances access, and improves outcomes for those affected by brain injury and neurotrauma.
Why the Peel ABI Pathway Matters
Peel is home to a diverse population with unique challenges in accessing timely and effective ABI care. Historically, the system has been fragmented, leaving many individuals and families navigating complex health and social service landscapes without adequate support.
The Peel ABI Neurotrauma Pathway addresses these challenges by focusing on:
