Staff Spotlight: Anne

This month, we are proud to spotlight Anne, a Mind Forward employee of over 20 years! Anne has worked in many programs during her time with the organization, most recently in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program.
Below, Anne shares a bit of insight into her role and what drives her passion for working at Mind Forward.

“My role at Mind Forward is to support my clients in maintaining their independence, and to empower and encourage them to be the best versions of themselves. Although it may be very different from what they are used to pre-injury, I help them embrace and see how truly special they are. The most rewarding part of my job is when I support clients with their goals, and then watch them crush them. Some take a little more encouragement, but I love being a part of their success stories.

My life outside of Mind Forward is just as fast paced. With having children and a grandchild there is always so much to keep busy with. We all love the outdoors, and like to take in nature as much as we can. I also foster kittens and puppies, so helping others is just who I am.
Throughout my 20 years at Mind Forward, I have taken multiple courses and participated in several training opportunities. Some of my training and courses have been CPI training, Safe Management Training, TAAT training, First Aid and CPR, First Aid for Mental Health, A.S.S. I.S.T. Training, Level 1 Neuro Rehabilitation Training, and many more. What I would say to anyone looking to work in this field is that the courses offered are fantastic, but there is nothing better than working hands on. I have learned so much more from working directly with a client than any book could have taught me.”

Thank you, Anne, for being such an important part of our team and for so many years of dedication to the brain injury community!
