This month, we’re recognizing Juliet, a remarkable individual who has worked at Mind Forward for the past six years. In her role as a Client Program Facilitator (CPF) at our “West” location, Juliet brings passion and expertise to her role every day.
As a CPF, Juliet is cornerstone in providing rehab support and advocacy for our clients. Her work encompasses everything from medication administration and crisis intervention to data collection, which aids in developing client Behaviour Management Programs (BMPs). Her all-around approach ensures every client receives the best possible support.
“I chose this line of work because of my love for people and the need for adequate professional support for the vulnerable sector”. Her empathy and specialized skills make a world of difference to those living with the effects of an ABI.
Juliet is committed to advocating empathetically for each client, treating everyone with respect and dignity. Her favourite moments? Seeing clients enjoy life’s pleasures, like a recent boat trip along Oakville Harbour. She recalls a heartwarming story where she advocated for a client in the Supported Living (SIL) program who was awaiting a home for over three years. The joy of handing over the apartment keys and seeing their gratitude was a moment of true fulfillment.
When she’s not making a difference at Mind Forward, Juliet loves spending time with family and friends, indulging in massages, travelling, and enjoying long road trips.
Her commitment to her role is evident in her ongoing education. She’s completed certifications in Neurorehabilitation, Safe Management, First Aid and CPR, and more, constantly adding to her wealth of knowledge.
Her advice to new team members? Juliet emphasizes the importance of following client Daily Activity Schedules (DAS) and BMPs, documenting and communicating with the team, being patient and empathetic with clients, and treating them with the kindness and respect they deserve.
