Community outings play a crucial role in the lives of long-term care residents by offering opportunities for social engagement, mental stimulation, connection to the outside world, and a sense of belonging. Here, one of our Allendale clients is enjoying a delicious cup of coffee with a Seniors team member at a local café.
Did you know that the month of June also happens to be Seniors Awareness Month? In addition to increasing the community’s knowledge regarding brain injury, our Seniors team is also dedicated to raising awareness about the unique needs, contributions, and challenges faced by older adults, as well as promoting their well-being, rights, and dignity in society. On June 15th, the team hosted two informational booths at Post Inn Village and Extendicare Mississauga. Engaging posters were displayed highlighting statistics on ABI, Seniors and elder abuse. We had a great turn out of visitors. Thank you Seniors team!!
