Mind Forward joined the Dufferin-Caledon Drug Strategy Committee for their 6th Annual Overdose Awareness Day Event and Health Fair on August 31, 2023. International Overdose Awareness Day is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose. Remember without stigma those who have died from drug overdose and acknowledge the profound grief felt by families and friends left behind.
The theme for this year was “Recognizing those people who go unseen.” As a community, we came together to raise awareness about overdose, send a message to current and former people who use drugs that they are valued, and support family and friends grieving the loss of loved ones.
Together we can work towards raising awareness and reducing the stigma that prevents people from seeking help.
