Happy Holi

Happy Holi

Holi is a Hindu celebration being observed on March 25 this year, predominantly celebrated in India
but also celebrated throughout the world! Holi, held on the last full moon in the lunar month of
Phalguna, celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of spring and love. It also commemorates
the triumph of good over evil. During this joyous festival, observers throw colourful water, paints and
powder on friends, family and strangers alike! Celebrants light bonfires, throw colorful powder
called gulal, eat sweets, and dance to traditional folk music. It is a day to mend relationships, forgive
and forget past transgressions, have fun and hope for a fruitful harvest season.
Happy Holi to all those celebrating!
